Services for engine oil

To keep the engine of your Volkswagen running

VW service employee checks oil level – Oil Service

Help to extend your engine’s life with the Oil Service. Your Volkswagen Partner will replace the used oil with fresh oil. This can protect your engine and makes it particularly efficient. The oil filter and seals will also be replaced – with Volkswagen Genuine Parts and Volkswagen Genuine Oil, of course. To find out when it’s time for an oil change, you can consult your printed owner’s manual. You can also check the Service Interval Display.

Engine oils

Volkswagen high-performance engine oils surpass standard approvals and specifications and are continuously optimised to enhance engine performance.

  • Someone places a bottle of Volkswagen Genuine LongLife III FE Engine Oil in the luggage compartment

    LongLife III FE

The high-performance engine oil can extend intervals between changes for older Volkswagen models: Specially developed for petrol engines and diesel engines with a diesel particulate filter.

  • Someone places a bottle of Volkswagen Genuine LongLife IV FE Engine Oil in the luggage compartment

    LongLife IV FE

LongLife IV is a fuel economy engine oil and meets all requirements of the new generations of petrol engines and diesel engines with particulate filters with extended service intervals. The green colour of the oil makes it unmistakeable.

  • Two bottles of Volkswagen Genuine Engine Oils, "Special D" and "Special G"

“Special D” and “Special G” engine oils

These two smooth-running engine oils are suitable for engines in older Volkswagen models without a particulate filter. They are characterised by particularly robust properties: “Special D” is for diesel engines, “Special G” for petrol engines.

AdBlue®

AdBlue® is an odourless urea solution used in diesel models with SCR technology. It reduces harmful nitrogen oxides in diesel vehicle emissions. Without this urea solution, your AdBlue® diesel vehicle won’t be able to start. During the AdBlue® Service, your Volkswagen Partner will check the range and, if necessary, top up your tank – this is convenient and cost-effective. Thus, you won’t have to visit an AdBlue® fuel station when you’re on the road.
